The Motability scheme is available to customers who receive higher rate disability allowance or PIP payments. It is designed to help customers use their funding to pay for essential mobility equipment. Powered wheelchairs and scooters are available through the scheme. They are paid weekly straight from your allowance.
With a large range of powered wheelchairs and scooters available on the scheme from leading manufacturers such as Sunrise Medical, Kymco and Invacare you have a great selection to choose from. Every customer receives a free assessment to establish product suitability. Our assessments are with a trained product specialist who can give you all the options available for the type of product you require.
The scheme is a great way to access worry free mobility equipment as it includes comprehensive aftercare. Any breakdowns or repairs you may incur are covered as well as regular maintenance with annual servicing.
After your 3 year contract you are able to renew through the scheme and be reassessed for a brand new product.
To access the scheme we will firstly provide you with a free home demonstration of your preferred scooter or powered wheelchair. We will then submit your application to Motability who will contact us to advise your eligibility. Upon approval we will order your new product and once in stock we will arrange a handover at a time and date to suit you. Throughout your 3 year contract we will help look after your product with annual servicing and call-out for repairs, if required.
