A home assessment is when we visit you at home to assess your needs and suitability for a product. It gives you an opportunity to see and try a product in your own environment and home and you are able to test drive items such as scooters and wheelchairs. We spend time ensuring we understand your goals and to make sure the product you require will work within your environment.
We may also take some measurements for bespoke made to order products such as active user wheelchairs or rise and recline chairs, because these are tailored to fit you it is important we get the sizing right.
A survey is where we visit your home to assess for a home adaption which sometimes requires intrusive alteration such as level access showering. Our surveyors will need to understand your personal needs but also take time to ensure your home is safe and suitable for the alterations to take place. A stairlift survey would require measurement of your stairs, check for any obstructions and assess for the users ability to manage the lift.
Whether we visit you for a survey or assessment you will meet one of our team who has been manufacturer trained to a high standard, who knows their product range thoroughly to be able to offer you the most suitable options.
All home assessments and surveys are free, there are no additional fees added on if you decide to buy from us because of a home visit and there is no obligation or pressure selling.
A home assessment or survey is essential for some products such as a wash dry toilet. Some items can also be assessed in our stores such as powered wheelchairs.
We would always recommend an instore or home visit for scooters; spending time discussing your needs is important for establishing the right product.
Having an instore assessment for a rise and recline chair also gives you more range and options to try and sit in, bringing chairs to your home can be challenging and you don’t get to see the full range.
